Founded by the Artist, Sherry Brajcich, in 2020, Dreaming Owl Barnyard was an old building on the side of the road adjacent to Highway 1 on the way to Big Sur.

The site had an interesting past, including being part of the original San Simeon Trading Post as early as the late 1950’s.  It was a place where visitors could buy “Film, Shirts, Pop, and Souvenirs” per an old sign found on the property.

The souvenirs included crystals, rocks of many colors, and Big Sur Jade. Using this as inspiration, Sherry developed a collection of Hand Fabricated and Artist Designed Jewelry, Art, and Collectibles inspired by Nature and Native themes. All pieces are made by the Artist on the Central California Coast.

Today, the property is lovingly referred to as “the Barnyard” and it has been remodeled with permits. It awaits the final approval for a water meter before it can be opened as a full retail store, but pop-up events are permitted, and the collection is shown at local festivals as well.
